In 1994 six companies came together to evaluate their community investment programmes under the guidance of Corporate Citizenship. In doing so, they developed some basic common definitions and standards which they were subsequently asked to share more widely. This resulted in the formation of the London Benchmarking Group (LBG).
The following pages provide you with an introduction to the LBG including information on how it is goverened and the current members.
The London Benchmarking Group (LBG) is a group of over 100 companies working together to measure Corporate Community Investment (CCI).
The LBG model is used by companies around the world to assess and report on the value and achievements of their corporate community investment.
The LBG model provides a comprehensive and consistent set of measures for corporate community involvement professionals to determine their company’s contribution to the community.
The LBG celebrated its ten year anniversary in 2004. 'Measure for Measure' was produced to celebrate its achievements and highlight its future challenges.
