Deloitte - Skills 4 Industry

An employability programme run between 2001-6 which supports disadvantaged 16-18 year-old providing the skills, qualifications, experience and behaviours they need to secure entry-level employment. The programme comprises courses in IT, retail, hospitality and administration and is offered by FE Colleges across the country.

£100,000 time

Programme achievements:
£700,000 leveraged
185 16-18 year-old students enrolled on Skills4IT courses in September 2003 and February 2004. 300 students started Skills4industry courses in 2005/6.

Management

The LBG is managed on behalf of its members by Corporate Citizenship

Corporate Citizenship is one of the longest established and most experienced firms specialising in corporate responsibility consulting.

It has worked closely with the London Benchmarking Group since its inception in 1994. Officers of the company were responsible, along with the original members, for devising the LBG model, and for the two key LBG texts - Companies in communities: getting the measure and Companies in communities: assessing the impact.

It is currently responsible for the day to day management of the group, including: production and circulation of the monthly newsletter; membership administration; upkeep of this website; arrangement of group events; and provision of the support services to which members are entitled (see membership package).
